Here’s another Pinterest find for wall art that should be fairly easy, inexpensive, and fun to make yourself!

I followed these directions from the Nomadic Decorator. I used 6 canvases out of a 7 pack of 12″ x 12″ canvases from Michaels instead of 9 wood panels.

I’ve never been a scrapbooker, so the hardest part for me was finding 6 scrapbook paper pages that I thought coordinated well together. I was not finding quite what I wanted with the selection at my local Michaels or at Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts.

Believe it or not, I ended up buying a 50-page bundle of “Grateful Harvest” Colorbok Designer Paper at Walmart for about $5. I used it for this project and pinned some extra pages on my bulletin board at work for a fun background (below).

For the canvas project, it was as simple as

  1. Paint the canvas edges black.
  2. Let dry.
  3. Use Mod Podge to glue the scrapbook pages down. Smooth out the paper as you go with a credit card or flat edge.
  4. Let dry.
  5. Hang up.

The Nomadic Decorator did a great job writing instructions and adding tips on avoiding wrinkles (use thicker paper, and try different adhesives). I did need to smooth out the paper for several minutes as it dried, but the end result has few wrinkles.
