I really enjoy Halloween. It’s a lovely mixture of the fall season, spooky yet fun decorations, and people of all ages in cute costumes. Candy is pretty cool, too.

Here is a simple craft that’s more cute than spooky that I made to decorate the ceiling fan above our kitchen table.



All you need is some black construction paper or card stock, a pencil, scissors, string, and tape.

Figure out what bat shape you like best, draw it on paper, cut it out, cut out eye holes, accordion fold the wings if you like the way that looks, and tape a string to the backside.

Tie them to a ceiling fan and turn it on a gentle speed, and watch the bats fly around in a circle.
